SPJ Reader Question: What City Council seats are open this election? Print

SPJ Responds: Seat #1, held by Rich Stone, Seat #3, held by Joyce Sheen, and Seat #5, held by Paige Brooks, open this election. Stone and Sheen are term-limited out. Registration for city offices does not open until August and the dates have not been finalized. Registration for city offices falls late in the election cycle because they’re nonpartisan and candidates do not participate in the primary process.
