WINNEMUCCA — The judge presiding over the federal lawsuit involving the proposed landfill on Jungo Rd. scheduled oral arguments in the matter for January 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in room 6 of the Reno courtroom, federal court. Chief Judge Robert C. Jones will be hearing arguments on a petition for judicial review filed on behalf of Jungo Land & Investments. Jungo is requesting the court review actions taken by Humboldt County Commissioners that led to the revocation of the company’s five-year CUP (conditional use permit) extension. Jungo is further seeking to have upheld the 2010 decision by the Regional Planning Commission to extend the company’s CUP for five years. The hearing is open to the public.
