WINNEMUCCA — Two sisters are preparing to open a new bakery on Winnemucca Blvd. (shown).  Ceci’s Panaderia has been the dream of Rosa Gomez -- and her sister intends to help her succeed.

Amelia Jimenez said, “This is my sister’s dream and I want that to come out good for her.  I want it to come out right.”

The two and their helpers are currently cleaning the building from top to bottom to make a good first impression.  Once all the licenses are approved, the business may be open as soon as next week.

During the first phase, the sisters will offer a variety of baked goods to include Mexican breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, and donuts – just to name a few.  There will also be sandwiches and specialty drinks, such as Orchata (sweetened rice drink).

Jimenez said the dining area offers an intimate setting for folks to have conversations and enjoy their baked treats.

Once the bakery is well-established, the sisters plan to expand the menu to include a variety of Mexican, American, Italian and French dishes. The sisters have also applied for a liquor license and intend to open the bar at a later date.

Jimenez said customers can expect professional and friendly service.
