SPJ Reader Question:  It appears they’ve stopped working on the new Dotty’s Casino (at Potato Rd. and Construction Way). What’s going on?

SPJ Responds:  According to Mike Sheppard, of Michael Clay Construction, the project has been hampered by uncooperative weather in the form of winter storms that came early and stayed late.

The casino isn’t the only project on hold waiting for fairer skies.  The heliport project at Humboldt General Hospital is also waiting for warmer, dryer, less windy weather.
