The following sentencings were the results of hearings held in the UnionTownship Justice Court.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 4

  • Brent Alton Crutcher was sentenced for second-offense DUI to 90 days in jail with 80 days stayed with 5 days credit for time served and five days in jail to do; fines totaling $1,062, attend the Victim Impact Panel; one year of outpatient treatment; interlock device for one year; no alcohol or drug charges for one year and subject to search & seizure and testing.

Thursday, Jan. 5

  • Justin Daniel Clark was sentenced for possession of marijuana of 1 oz or less to pay fines of  $727.  The charge was amended from felony possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales. The additional charge of felony transporting a controlled substance was dismissed.
  • Michael Ray Dockery was sentenced for possession of marijuana of 1 oz or less to pay fines totaling $727. The charge was amended from felony possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of sales.  The additional charge of felony transporting a controlled substance was dismissed.

Friday, Jan. 6

  • Abbey M. Haaglund was sentenced for due care to pay fines totaling $182 and for the charge of minor in consumption was fined $182.  Additionally, the defendant was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $100.  Count 1 was amended from hit & run with property damage; the additional charge of driving with a suspended registration was dismissed.

Monday, Jan. 9

  • Megan rose Griggs was sentenced for misdemeanor unlawful sales of tobacco to a minor to pay fines of $182 plus a $100 civil penalty.
  • Nicholas Peter Cassinelli was sentenced for misdemeanor first-offense DUI to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed and two days to serve by Feb. 9; fines totaling $572 to be paid by April 9; attend DUI School and Victim Impact Panel.  On the additional misdemeanor charge of driving without proof of insurance the defendant was fined $727; if the defendant provides proof of insurance within 30 days the fine will be $182.  On the additional misdemeanor charge of driving with an expired registration the defendant was fined $342.
  • Tamara Lynne Burnside was sentenced for misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia to pay fines totaling $342 by April 9.
  • Eric Christian Magiera was sentenced for misdemeanor disorderly conduct to pay fines of $342; for the misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace he was fined $342, to run concurrent to count 1.
  • Gurvinder Singh was sentenced for misdemeanor sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor to pay fines totaling $292.
  • Kiran Deepsingh Bajwa was sentenced for the misdemeanor charge of sale/furnishing alcohol to minor to pay fines totaling $292.
  • Todd R. Saxberg was sentenced for the misdemeanor charge of failure to make reasonable effort to take/pursue wounded/shot big game animal to pay fines totaling $292.
  • Sabrina Felicia Gonzalez was sentenced for misdemeanor sale/furnishing alcohol to a minor to pay fines totaling $292 by Feb. 9.
  • Erik Sotelo Viera was sentenced for misdemeanor sale/furnishing a minor with alcohol to pay fines totaling $282 with $100 stayed as the defendant took the class on “Responsible Alcohol Vender compliance.”
Tuesday, Jan. 10
  • Trisha Dawn Floyd was sentenced for misdemeanor possession of marijuana to pay fines totaling $600, which was converted to 19 days in jail with credit for time served; $200 reimbursement to Humboldt County for court-appointed counsel.  The charge was amended from felony being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Wednesday, Jan. 11
  • Charles Ray Gillard was sentenced for failure to maintain the travel lane to pay fines totaling $182; attend DUI School and Victim Impact Panel.
  • Evodio Tecuautzin Paredes was sentenced for misdemeanor mudguards required to pay fines totaling $182 within 30 days.

Thursday, Jan. 12

  • Jesus Alejandro Labrado-Magdaleno was sentenced for misdemeanor first-offense domestic battery to 30 days in jail with 30 days stayed; 48 hours community service in lieu of 2 days in jail; fines totaling $327; 26 sessions of batter intervention counseling; 48 hours community service for a total of 96 hours community service to be completed by July 23.
  • Shanea Michelle Cowles was sentenced for misdemeanor resisting a public officer to pay fines totaling $342, which was converted to 35 hours of community service to be completed by March 1.  The additional charge of battery was dismissed.
