DA’s Office files criminal complaint in sexual assault case Print

WINNEMUCCA — The Humboldt County DA’s Office has filed the criminal complaint officially charging a local man with multiple counts of sexual assault on a child.

Homar Galarza, 28, was charged with three counts of sexual assault on child under the age of 14, category A felonies, battery with the intent to commit sexual assault, a category A felony, open or gross lewdness, a category D felony, and indecent/obscene exposure, a gross misdemeanor.

Galarza is being held at the Humboldt County Detention Center on $1.5 million bail.  A preliminary hearing in the matter was scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 23 in Union Township Justice Court.

The case involves multiple alleged acts against the juvenile victim between 2008-2010.
