Arrest, accident, and citation reports Print

The following arrest, citation and accident information was taken from media reports issued by the Winnemucca Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, and the Nevada Highway Patrol.

WINNEMUCCA —  Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office deputies have cited the driver involved in the January 17 accident on Thompson Rd.   Mary Elizabeth Vassar, 18, was cited for DUI, due care, driving left of center, minor in consumption, and seatbelts required.  Vassar was injured  in the accident had to be transported to Reno for further care.  She was cited upon her return - according to the report issued by the HCSO.  The amount of the citation was $1,630.

Thursday, January 14

  • Zachary Haught, 18, was arrested for domestic battery for allegedly pushing his mother.  Bail was $3,122.

Saturday, January 16

  • Lane Charlie Tom, 18, was cited for minor in consumption of alcohol.  The citation amount was $177.

Wednesday, January 20

  • Michael Morgan, 47, was arrested and charged with DUI.  Bail was $1,219. 

Friday, January 22

  • Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a rollover accident on Midas Rd.

Saturday, January 23

  • Miranda Rae Moore, 18, was arrested and charged with petit larceny.  Bail was $337.

Tuesday, January 26

  • Rueben A. Rodriguez, 20, was arrested for DUI, minor in consumption of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, evading/eluding, reckless driving, improper turn, driving on the right side required, driving without proof of insurance, driving with a suspended driver’s license, making an improper U-turn, seatbelts required, and obstructing law enforcement personnel.  According to the report, the subject was taken into custody after a vehicle pursuit.  Bail was $6,638.
  • Lawrence Michael Rajski, 40, was arrested on two outstanding warrants issued by Elko County Township Justice Court.  The amount of the first bail was $1,022 and the amount of the second bail was $541.
  •  Dakota Jeremiah Wilson, 22, was arrested for impeding traffic with a backhoe and driving with a revoked driver’s license.  Bail was $434.

Wednesday, January 27

  • Armando Solis, 37, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Bail was $297.
  •  Terrance Lee Olli, 55, was placed under citizen’s arrest for trespassing. Bail was $177.
  •  Officers investigated an accident in which the blade of a City of Winnemucca snow plow stuck a parked vehicle, causing minor damage.  The operator was working to remove snow from the streets at the time of the accident.
  •  Leila L. Loupas, 24, was arrested and charged with DUI, unlawful use of a bike lane, and driving on the right side required.  Bail was $1,316.

Thursday, January 28

  • Sherman Crutcher, 23, was arrested and charged with obstructing a peace officer.  According to the report, Crutcher was discovered hiding in the laundry room of a local business.  Officers made contact with him but the subject allegedly refused to cooperate with police and later physically resisted arrest.  Officers suspected he was very intoxicated.  Crutcher’s bail was $1,122.

Friday, January 29

  • Kenneth Vic Manzo, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging failure to appear.  Bail was $3,122.
