Arrest, citation, and accident reports through Jan. 4 Print

The following arrest, citation and accident information was taken from media reports issued by the Winnemucca Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff's Office, and the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Saturday, December 19

Michael Jeff Walker, 54 was arrested and charged with domestic battery.  Bail was set at $3,122.

Nicholas Clinton, 25, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant relating to a traffic citation.  Bail was set at $1,099.

Sunday, December 20

Luis Eduardo Ramirez-Caracoz, 26 was cited following a property damage accident at the intersection of Placer Way and Stratus Street.  The  flat-bed semi being driven by Ramirez-Caracoz allegedly knocked down the street sign/pole at the above mentioned intersection.

Kristen Horn, 27, was arrest and charged with third-offense DUI, driving without insurance, driving with a revoked driver’s license and driving with an expired registration.  Bail was set at $21,236.

Saturday, December 26

Onofre Morfin, 34, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving on the right side required, open container, and resident with non-Nevada driver’s license. Bail was set at $1,413.

Jaclyn Lafferty, 31 was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to stop at a stop sign, child restraint required, child endangerment, driving while suspended.  Bail was set at  $4,123.

Roxannne Garfield, 27, was arrested and charged with simple battery.  Bail was set at $1,122.

Sunday, December 27

Ericka Connor, 38 was arrested for DUI and various traffic offenses.  Bail was set at $2, 215.

Two 17-year-old male juveniles were arrested.  The driver of the vehicle was charged with DUI, driving on the right side required, open container, possession of drug paraphernalia, and sales of alcohol to a minor.  The passenger was charged with MIC and possession of a dangerous weapon.  Both were placed on no-bail holds.

Wednesday, December 30

Justin Smartt, age, 22 was arrested and charged with  domestic battery.  Bail was set at  $3,122.

Thursday, December 31

James Melpers, 49, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging contempt of court with a no-bail hold.

Friday, January 1

Jeremy Hinkey, 25, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. 

Justin Marian Paradise, 52  was arrested and charged with DUI.  Bail was set at $1,179.

Saturday, January 2

Damon Gomez, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging failure to appear in court.  Bail was  $622--cash only.

Sunday, January 3

Leland Robert Schmid, 23, was arrested and charged with domestic battery.  Bail was set at $3,122.

Clifton Maurice Brown was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.  Rosalva Hernandez-Ramirez was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.  The property-damage only accident occurred at the intersection of Sunny Dr. and Center St.

Richard Bent, 46, was arrested and charged with domestic battery on the allegations he grabbed a person by the hair and rammed her head into a rail.  Bail was set at $3, 122

Monday, January 4

Aubrey Wayne Tatum, 23,  was arrested and charged with DUI, driving without a valid driver’s license, failure to yield to traffic control device, evade/eluding a police officer, failure to stop on signal of police.   Bail was set at $2,463.
