The following are the arrests made by the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office between Oct. 8 and Oct. 15, 2009.

Thursday, Oct. 8

  • Nicolas Staas, 23, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after it was alleged he grabbed at his wife, choked her, and pushed her to the floor. Bail was set at $5,122.

Friday, Oct. 9
  • Douglas Benjamin Hegge, 23, was arrested and charged with sales of methamphetamine and conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act.
  • Ashika Anderson, 21, was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging issuance of a check without sufficient funds.  Bail was set at $1,500.
  • Joshua T. Ordell, 23, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Saturday, Oct. 10
  • Kenneth Bruce Burton, 36, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor first offense DUI. Bail was set at $1,236.
