Three new Winnemucca Police Department officers were recently sworn in by Mayor Di An Putnam at Winnemucca City Hall.

Officer T.J. Pinkston was sworn in on December 23.  Pinkston brings with him seven years experience with the Nevada Highway Patrol.  He also has a BS in Public Health and is currently working on his Masters Degree.  Pinkston served with the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman attached to the Fleet Marine Force – Rapid Response Team before his law enforcement career.

Officer Chris Morton was sworn in on January 9.  Morton served with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the Nevada Highway Patrol prior to his new position with the WPD.  Morton also served in the US Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer and with the Nevada Air National Guard as a Load Master.

Officer Elizabeth Hill was also sworn in on January 9.  Officer Hill completed the Nevada P.O.S.T. Academy in May 2011.  Hill worked for the Lovelock Police Department until her hire with the WPD.

The Winnemucca Police Department would like to welcome Officers Pinkston, Morton and Hill to the WPD Team.
