The Command of the Winnemucca Police Department was changed during a ceremony held at the Winnemucca Police Department on Friday (Sept.  2).  Lieutenant Eric Silva was sworn in to the office of Chief of Police by Mayor Di An Putnam.

Chief Silva will assume Command of the Police Department on September 5.  Silva will replace Chief Bob Davidson upon his retirement.  Bill Dalley was also sworn in as Police Captain by Mayor Putnam during the same ceremony.

Dalley will assume the position of Captain and Second-in-Command of the Winnemucca Police Department.  Dalley was selected by Chief Silva for that position due to his knowledge and experience as a law enforcement administrator.  Captain Dalley will also begin his duties as Second-in-Command on September 5th.

The Winnemucca Police Department would like to welcome Captain Bill Dalley to the team.
