Passenger car collides with semi; one injured Print

WINNEMUCCA — A vehicle v’s semi accident shut down W. Winnemucca Blvd. near Rose Creek late Tuesday (Sept. 13).  The accident occurred when a small passenger car collided with an unoccupied commercial vehicle parked by the side of the road.

After striking the rear of the semi, the passenger vehicle overturned and came to rest on the roadway.  A baby was rescued from the crushed vehicle by bystanders, but the baby’s mother remained trapped inside. Humboldt General Hospital EMS responded and extricated the woman.  The injured woman was then transported to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by Nevada Highway Patrol. 

The passenger collided with this commercial vehicle parked by the side of the road.

 

The car overturned and came to rest on the roadway.
