SR 140 closed due to truck accident Print

From a NHP News Release Posted:  October 19, 2009

Humboldt County  — NHP Troopers are currently working a commercial vehicle (semi truck) property-damage accident on State Route 140 just south of Denio.  The truck, which was hauling lumber, rolled onto its side - spilling its load.  Both travel lanes will be closed for approximately 3-4 hours while crews remove the truck and the lumber from the highway. Denio is near the Nevada/Oregon border approximately 100 miles north of Winnemucca.


UPDATED at 12:34 p.m.:  Small passenger cars can now pass through the accident scene on the dirt shoulder.  Large trucks are still being held until further notice.

UPDATED at 3:00 p.m.:  All lanes are now open.
