Written by A WPD Press Release

Emergency personnel responded today (Dec. 12) at about 7:20 a.m. to the alley behind CB Brown’s on the report of a possible gas leak.  As a precaution, both the Winnemucca Police Department and Winnemucca Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched.

While securing the area, officers noticed the bollards designed to protect the gas meter were damaged; however, there did not appear to be any physical damage to the meter.  Personnel from Southwest Gas arrived on scene to test for leaks and inspect the area.

WPD officers and fire personnel released the scene to gas company personnel.

Initial tests did not turn up evidence of a leak.

Would you support using taxpayer dollars to buy and renovate the Winnemucca Hotel for local use?
